Meet the Team

Nicholas Jesse is the Manager of Career Services in the University of Wyoming College of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a double minor in African American & Diaspora Studies and Public Law from the University of Wyoming in December 2015. In the fall of 2023, Nicholas began his Master’s Program in Public Administration at the University of Wyoming. In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys gardening, socializing, playing video games, volunteering, paddleboarding, and going on hikes with his beloved partner Tom and their two dogs Watson and Taos.

Cheryl Loy is a Career Advising Professional for the University of Wyoming’s College of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Roosevelt University and her Masters in Educational Leadership with Principal’s Endorsement from Aurora University. She spent the majority of her career teaching English, Journalism, Theatre, and Art at the high school level (and served as an Assistant Principal for a few years) before she transitioned into College Persistence Advising, specializing in College Success and Career Service Support. Recently, she and her husband relocated from Chicago, Illinois to Laramie, WY and are still (happily) adjusting to the wildlife! Along with various fandoms (Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, to name a few!) she loves attending music concerts – so being closer to Red Rocks is a huge win!

Although I’m not from Wyoming, I got here as quickly as I could! A 2018 Business Management Graduate from UW, I have been employed with the UW College of Business since I completed my degree. I am passionate about Wyoming and connecting external stakeholders with our gritty students. Employer relations is my specialty, but I am also tasked with building connections with alumni, community members, and legislative representatives.
